Reed Hastings, Erin Meyer
I eagerly read this book with alternating enthusiasm and resistance. It’s about how to create a successful company at the right time.
On one hand we have exemplary open–minded techniques, such as making decisions (including financial ones) without consulting superiors. While also carrying the responsibility for your own choices of people whose feedback is needed for projects. You get free choice of your days off, and open, supportive feedback. On the other hand we have tough selection criteria (Keeper Test). This book is a textbook example within creating new sorts of companies and made me aware of “The Culture Map”.
